Dear new and old readers.
Old readers (and I don’t mean your age) please excuse my posting of this old photo from a July, 2011, blog.
New readers, what do you think of this deer doing yoga in our yard? Did you know that deer, as well as frogs, do yoga?
This pose is called the cow pose–no, no, the Deer pose.
When you get up tomorrow morning and pause to stretch, please try it.
Thank you sincerely, new and old readers.
Love, Kathy
P.S. Guess what? I am contemplating posting mostly photos (no lengthy stories about tepees or teeth or blogging friends unless a story jumps up and down screaming so it can’t be rightfully ignored) during the month of July. Short stories are acceptable, says the editor. We’ll see…it’s always good to stretch beyond our patterns…I LOVE trying different ways of blogging!
P.S. Also I will not be responding to comments during the month of July; is that OK? Instead will visit your blog as a thank you if you share some of your thoughts here. Or, if you don’t have a blog, I will sit very quietly and pretend we’re drinking tea or doing yoga together. Namaste…and let’s str—stretch!
Hi, Lake Superior Spirit
Its msmcword.wordpress.com again-you know-“the looper” from near Detroit.
I enjoy your photos and I hope you plan to post more of them on your blogs.
Enjoy the summer, and if you visit my blog, I hope you enjoy the stories.
Love the photograph!
When I encounter a mental “bump” when writing, my mind often takes a moment to do the Deer Pose:
Dear me, this. Or Dear me, that! 🙂
Enjoy the summer! All too soon winter will be upon us and the days will be ripe for long stories… soak up the sunshine and the warmth whilst you can. 🙂
Oh my Kathy Drue…how I love you. Yes to taking time for you. I look forward to hearing from you on the Line. And seeing you in August. xooxox S
As an old reader, I would jump for joy at the thought of more of your lovely photos, but I’ll miss the stories that go with them, plus, I have to worry about breaking an ankle if I did jump for joy. In the name of full disclosure, I have to say that this comment is nothing more than a blatant attempt to eek out one more hit on my pathetic little blog. 😉
I too will miss the words. Why not just a few brief ones?
I love your long blogs, but I love your photos, too. Really, its win-win no matter what you post! 🙂
I’ll miss your back-and-forth banter on here, but I wish you a super-happy July! Have fun with the photo-blogging 🙂
birds do it, bees do it…………
Happy summer to you, too, Kathy! Your photos are always lovely…will look forward to more stories in the fall.
Stre-e-e-e-tch…. click-click go the vertebrae….
Peace…
Summer is a great time for photographs, Kathy–as you know! And I always love to see a comment from you on Books in Northport. Happy 4th!
Love your photos Kathy! Will look forward to seeing what you come up with.
I’m sure whatever you post will be delightful, as usual. Have a great summer! 🙂
I shall repeat myself – it is your blog, you certainly may do whatever you please with it, and we will appreciate whatever it is you offer. As to replying to comments, it’s nice when you can and I’m trying to do more of that myself, but some days it doesn’t work out. I believe my bloggy friends are understanding, as are yours.
I guess I would be one of your older old readers who loves this photo and who is smiling at Laurie’s version of the Deer Pose 🙂
Happy summer to you, Kathy! Words, photos, short stories, long ones… all are welcomed by this particular commenter. 🙂
Are you sure it’s yoga and not a “I-really-need-to-have-a-crap” pose ?
I like the idea of not responding to comments for a month. It’s good to take some time off from one thing so you can explore another thing.
Beautiful deer. I had my own deer encounter yesterday. 🙂
