My July goal: post photos.
Write accompanying story in 200 words or less.
Grin, laugh, chortle, hiccup or sniff at your comments, but do not respond.
That is a biggie, my reader, as I always respond to comments, like it’s a religion or something.
It has always felt polite. I always think that we’re in the same room chatting. How could one not respond?
I might post every single day!
Or, maybe, every other day.
Or, maybe every three days.
Or, maybe…
Isn’t life glorious, offering so many lovely options?
I already wrote a post for tomorrow. It’s a love affair. OK, that’s a titillating tease. It’s about the Earth. Summer, winter, autumn and sweet spring.
Today I have been cleaning, oh dear, my reader, cleaning like a fiend! It’s all because a certain bright-eyed daughter and her boyfriend arrive on Friday. Visitors are wonderful because they force a good house-cleaning. Cherished visitors are even more wonderful.
Barry has not yet met Diaa, the boyfriend. I met him in NYC last year and could share the details except the word count sky-rockets toward 200 and…see you tomorrow, my sweets!
Hello “Me”! You look like you’re having fun at the seaside, Kathy. Love to Kiah!
You look so happy. Have a wonderful time with your company and clean house!
Family visits are wonderful. Have fun!
Warm weather and excellent visitors… life is GOOD!
You’re so right about company. I’ve found that most creative people I know have trouble doing things like housework. (At least, that’s MY excuse!) Having so many creative outlets to explore, who has time to clean the fridge? However, when company comes, there is a certain expectation, so the house becomes a whirlwind of activity as things like the fridge finally get clean, clutter is stashed away (and often forgotten) in anticipation of the arrivals. Enjoy your company! 🙂
You’re right – there’s nothing like overnight visitors that gets our house whipped into ship shape!
It does help to have an excuse to clean the house. Exceptional to have such great company coming. I’m glad you’re still commenting on other people’s blogs even if you’ve taken a break from responding here. 🙂
Who knew 200 words happen so fast? Happy 4th, Kathy and Barry. That is one soulful canine!
I am thinking of you and your busy, fun month~~~ I am too hot to type more ~~~ but I am smiling! So happy Bebs and her sweetie arrive Friday. Love the photos and you.
This is wonderful. I was concerned about Barry splitting wood so soon after his surgery. Now the two of you can take a break and Kiah & Diaa can take over the wood pile duty 😉
Kathy, you’re a dear (and a yoga deer!). It’s so kind the way you say you’ll still visit blogs. I am really trying to find a way to optimize blogging time. Thoughts?
A grand idea Kathy. Since you’re not responding, I won’t follow comments, saving me lots of time in my inbox. . .it’s a win-win. I am cleaning our house this week also for bascially the same reason. Our son’s girlfriend is spending a night while interviewing here in town. I may have to schedule out of town guests to keep our house liveable.
It all sounds lovely, have a wonderful time 😉
Am also enjoying a fit of housecleaning this month. Ah, the pleasures of ripping in to what we’ve long ignored! And I’m requiring a good bit of frog/deer/cow yoga to atone for my white tornado activities!
Wow, you are really not responding to comments? What will you do if your comments are full of questions like this one? Will you be able to resist answering them? Could I be more silly???? 😉
What a fine knot for me to…who knows yet!
What a beautiful Bulldog. Have a Happy 4th of July.
You have spent the day doing what I will be doing on the weekend because my Kat arrives on July 10, and my Gep will not be far behind. Time to sweep away those cobwebs and dust bunnies.
Wishing you a lovely July with family, Kathy. 🙂
A lovely photo Kathy. It seems to capture something special about you in that moment. Happy cleaning!
Good luck with your latest blog challenge, Kathy! It’s always a treat to stop by here and see what you have to share. 🙂
And here I’ve been so busy making a mess WITH my guests! Hope you have a great time with your daughter. I’m LOVING the time with my parents this week, even though we are all dog-tired. Blog to come soon 🙂
Well..here you go again, putting rules and conditions into your blogging. Maybe if you settled on ONE set of rules/conditions you could put that to rest and move on? Eh? What say you? Oh, that’s right…disregard. 😀
Is that a shot of you at the ocean ? or is it Lake Superior ? Lovely shot. Wait. Don’t answer those questions. Be strong. Fingers away from keyboard. No response needed. I know you’re there reading what I’m writing, and that’s enough. Now off you go. Turn off the computer and go outside and play …
You come up with some of the best ideas, my friend! Your cleaning is probably finished but if you get the urge again, I have plenty that needs doing. 😉
Loving that last shot. And the first one too. Hope all has gone well with your visitors (which I would know, maybe, if I wasn’t so far behind!).
Enjoy your time with Kiah and Diaa 🙂 The bulldog is super cute and you look so energized on the beach!
