Goodbye.

One autumn leaf

Goodbye, Autumn Leaf.

You’re falling from that tree, aren’t you, rushing toward the earth in early October?

One leaf falls in a puddle

I’m falling from my familiar Lake Superior tree, too.

I am leaving the Blogging World for a spell.

I am going to–perhaps–play croquet, stare at polar bears, wear aubergine,  eat  Kimchi, hug my beloved Mom and Dad, kiss Korean babies, photograph seals,  give a speech, swim in a pool, sip cocktails, tease my daughter’s boyfriend, delight in my brothers, giggle with my niece, laugh out loud with my sister-in-law, roll my eyes at my favorite brother-in-law, eat veggie burgers on the grill, tour a Farmer’s Market, and maybe six million other small sacred delights but, especially–

Lake Superior land colors in October

–I will cry because our oldest son and his bride are celebrating their marriage in San Diego and there isn’t anything more wonderful than that, is there?

I will not be on-line for a while, not reading your blogs, not responding to comments, hardly even checking email–if you can believe that!  I am not even bringing Miss Ellie, the laptop computer, on this special amazing trip.  (She is already pouting.  She has not been left at home–ever–since she was a wee computer baby.)

Dear friends, we shall meet again at a later date, we shall.  We shall catch up and I shall show you wedding photos.  I am at least 83.4% certain you shall see wedding photos.  You will never forgive me otherwise, will you?

Until we meet again...goodbye!

Oh, dearest Kathy, I’m not sure whether I should ‘Like’ this post or not… But I do love that you will be doing all those marvelous things with your loved ones. So, stay safe, have a wonderful, exciting, joyful time – and a safe (and adventurous!) trip away and back home again. We’ll meet again in the blogosphere sometime, I am certain of that! Lots of love and hugs!

My first response at merely reading the one-word title of this blog entry was utter panic! I’m glad now that I am just glad you are going to have a lovely trip — and break from cyberspace — for a lovely reason, and that you WILL be back among those of us HERE who love you!
Have a GREAT time, and yes, pics are anticipated!!!

We are back home in the U.P. by the shores of Lake Superior after gazing westward onto the Pacific Ocean in San Diego for a week. Unfortunately, I have to catch up at work and attend two meetings before that will happen. Will try to write a blog as soon as possible! Love, Kathy
