Bursting maple buds
This is the third day that I’ve woken up with a Fierce Desire to Blog again.
Each day I watch this desire arise. It’s not retreating. It’s gaining momentum. It’s like a tsunami bearing down on the shore of this long winter off-line time. We’ll see if it lasts. Or if it’s a temporary wave of longing.
An itch even exists to find the camera and start taking pictures again! (OK, I’ve barely complied. Just wanting you to know it exists.)
Have to work today–in fact, mind you, have worked every single day for our little two-room school this week–but just wanted to share this latest development. It’s been since mid-February when the desire to blog just wandered off and disappeared in a snow bank.
Our snow is MOSTLY melted, by the way! Just patches in the woods, along the road, where the plow created huge banks. The frozen bays shift and heave melting ice. Spring may yet arrive one of these fine days…

Welcome Back! I have missed you. We are in the throes of a wet, chilly, windy spring, occasionally kissed by the sun. But it is spring, planting time has arrived, and my yard work is keeping me busy and happy:) So glad to “see” you.
Staying out of the rolling thunder and hail storm racing across the Tuscan hills at the moment Kathy. Nice to have a blogging wave come ashore from you 🙂
Welcome back, Kathy!!! ♥ I have missed you so much during this long winter. I have been “hibernating” here myself, and am struggling to find the energy to “wake up”. This past week has been so dreary and rainy that I felt the strong desire to curl up and hibernate even longer. Today, though, has the sun peeking from behind some clouds and warmer temps are expected so maybe some energy will seep into this sleepy spirit.

What a wonderful way to start the day to see you here! I do hope whenever the spirit moves you to write, you heed the call. Just as all things in this world I want to stretch and grow come spring and you have always been wonderful fertilizer for the mind.

Missed you! Glad to see your post in my in-box. I was thinking of you recently while reading in a book about winter in the Adidrondack wilderness. It reminded me of your winter posts.
It bothers me when I make a typing error, and feel the need to correct it: Adirondack.
Just like the earth is awakening after a too-long winter sleep, Kathy’s need for creative expression awakens. Welcome back for as long and as often as you feel the urge!
It’s SO good to hear from you. I selfishly hope that this urge to blog isn’t just a passing phase. I’ve missed the little snippets from the North Shore.

My blogging desire seems to want to wander off, but I’m not letting it go just yet.
I’m glad you’re feeling the Fierce Desire to Blog Again (but understand if it leaves again – experienced my own doldrums this winter). The very last of our snow melted yesterday, and just bits of ice linger and move around on Torch Lake. I shared a graphic on FB just a bit ago. Michigan officially had the coldest March this year. It didn’t just seem that way; we really were awfully cold.

We’ve missed you, Kathy! What’s happening in Leelanau? We’re watching the ice gradually, slowly, disappear from Lake Michigan, Grand Traverse Bay, and inland lakes. I’m also ready for all the big construction projects to be finished here in Northport. Garden? Need to build those raised bed boxes! Too much to do, season rushing down upon us! Yikes! (I’m scaring myself.)
Welcome back kiddo. I think your trees are a tad ahead of ours here. One must look very hard for signs of spring. Spring should have burst forth weeks ago but I think it saw its shadow and hid. (glancing up) Oh look. It’s drizzling outside. How frikkin’ charming.

Here in the Deep South, tornado season arrived with death and destruction…both in my current city and neighboring counties as well as my home State of MS.

Seeing your sweet face in my e-mail box is always a cause for celebration. The essence of spring is to thrive, to breathe, to find new possibilities. That’s what I’ve been doing the last month or so. Playing with little grandbabies, walking an extra mile in my shoes, serving my man an extra dollop of dessert. Ah, the simple things in life are what makes us bloom, yes?

Welcome back Kathy! Spring has some strange effects on us bloggers. I mainly prefer to sleep, then eat, then blog. But home chores get in the way of all that. I hope your “fierce desire” thing hits me soon too. Meanwhile I look forward to enjoying your beautiful writing and take on things.
Hope the fierce desire to blog hangs around for a while. I miss your lovely writing! Lots of things I want to do too – blogging, taking pictures among those things- that I’m really hoping to find the time for. Spring has been dragging its feet here – temperatures seem like they should be a bit warmer by now, but then I am always impatient for that. Snow is gone, flowers are budding, bumble bees are buzzing.

Welcome back, Kathy! I’ve missed you. So glad to hear that spring is finally arriving in your neck of the woods. We’re almost into summer here. The days are becoming warm and humid, and the pesky bugs have sprung up out of nowhere (or wherever it is they spend the winter).

Oh, Kathy, I just returned to Breck and there are still 4′ drifts in my yard and on the back trails. We’re only staying overnight and will go back to Denver and spring for awhile. I hope to see more posts from you – I’ve missed you (though I’ve taken tome off, too).

I wish I would have a fierce desire to blog again! I haven’t posted anything since last fall after I did the triathlon. Here in Boone, NC, it is just starting to get green — happening at last!
