All you bunnies out there…

Thanks to Robin over there in blog land at Breezes at Dawn I’ve decided to play a little game here in April.  She discovered a photo challenge for the month of April called April Love 2018 where you post a photo each day of the month (or whenever you feel like it) based on a certain theme.

For example, today’s theme is Morning View.

As many of you know, ahem, I haven’t been very good or diligent or regular about taking photos lately.  This challenge might jump start the old camera fingers.  (If it doesn’t, then maybe this will be the only post you see during April!)

Here is my, ahem, photo of the day:

Still winter

Still winter

The “ahem” notation is because–well, it isn’t my photo.  Husband got all enthusiastic this morning and said, “Let’s say Happy Easter to everyone on Facebook!  And tell them that it’s April 1st, Easter, snowing lightly and 15 degrees (-9 C).”

I muttered from a pre-coffee daze on the couch, “That’s OK, we really don’t have to do that…” but he chirped,  “C’mon, Kathy, I’ll help!  I’ll take the picture!”

So it’s his pre-dawn photo.  His caption.  His enthusiasm that got things going. (Although those are my snowshoes, if that counts.)

Tomorrow’s theme is Simplicity.  Either you’ll see something simple or you’ll see nothing at all–which will be very simple, indeed.    *grin*

Happy Easter, All you bunnies out there!  Stay warm!

P.S.  This also could be an April Fool’s joke.  (Just covering my bases, readers…)

I’m hopeless at taking part in ‘photo of the day’ thingies, because I don’t download (upload?) the camera daily. You do know I would read your blog without photos if you wanted to post just text, don’t you? 🙂 X
Happy Easter, hope you’re having a good day.

  2. You did it and its a very cold and cool looking photo. I like the little cars stuck in the snow. But gee whiz you kids have some serious snow there. I hope none of it melts my way.-)

My goodness, may the snow stay far, far, far up north! And now I am far, far, far away from it! (Although the forecast for tomorrow is…you guessed it…snow…)

      • I saw the pic of the snow outside the sunroom windows. I suppose in most of the northern states one would have a hard time getting far away from the snow. I loved the pic of your mom using her iPhone. The room looks very cozy.

  3. Our Easter Bunny still needed his winter coat, too!

  4. Brenda says:

Kathy, tell Barry that I love his picture! I would love to join this game but have no way to take pictures anymore. It is such a delight to see photos that people share so thanks so much! ❤

    • Kathy says:

Darn, Brenda, it would be fun to see what pics you would take around the house, and how you’d fit your house pics into the photo prompts. Thank YOU for being so appreciative!

  5. I like this photo, and look forward to seeing more, I’ve always enjoyed your photographs, and your generosity of posting them. I’m pretty stingy: most days no more than one or two photos to accompany my blog.

    • Kathy says:

Cindy, why, thank you. I usually quit blogging when I quit taking pictures. So maybe the key is to keep writing no matter what. LOL!

  6. How fun that your husband wanted to share!

    • Kathy says:

It was really sweet, Lunar. Usually he doesn’t care that much about sharing online on social media. He’s a newspaper guy himself, so that’s where he does his weekly sharing.

Thank you for reading. May you be blessed in your life...may you find joy in the simple things...
