I’m playing a fun game

Winterberry

Yesterday I started playing a fun game. Today I will share that game with you. We might call it Photo shorts. It’s a blogging game. You know I love writing 900 words about 900 different stories. But yesterday I decided to play a different game for awhile. Here’s how you play: Post one photo. Write something short. See how simple? See how fun? You can play every day, or twice a week, or once a week, or never. There’s only one rule. It has to feel fun. Like child’s play. You might notice your heart pitter-pattering with excitement. Because it’s only for kicks. Nothing too serious or fancy. One photo. Write something short. Then move on into your day. It’s berry berry fun. I mean it’s very fun. We’re never too old to play!

About Kathy

I live in the middle of the woods in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Next to Lake Superior's cold shores. I love to blog.

Oooo…I like that photo! Even the berries look cold.

  2. Stacy says:

That’s what I have done over the last few posts. πŸ™‚ It’s fun and low pressure. XOXO

  3. Val Boyko says:

    Love it πŸ—πŸ˜ŽπŸ—

  4. Robin says:

The winterberries look so joyful. πŸ™‚ I’ll see what I can do to join in. I’m feeling rather serious lately. I could use some fun.

    • Kathy says:

Robin, well, I am still having fun. I would love if you joined in–but only if it sounds fun. I am noticing that fewer folks have anything they want to comment with Photo Shorts, but there are lots of people are coming to see the wee posts anyway. *smile*

  5. Just one photo??? I have a hard time limiting myself to 20! But the “write something short” is right up my alley — lol. 😊

    • Kathy says:

Ha ha, Barbara, you made me laugh! I have trouble limiting photos AND words, but it’s strangely satisfying in other ways…am probably going to keep doing this for awhile.

do we post photos in the comments? I wonder how?

    • Kathy says:

Good morning or afternoon, Leelah! I know you love to play games too. I was thinking people could play this on their own blogs, but I would love to see photos in comments but don’t know how one would do that!

  8. Debbie says:

Great idea, Kathy! Sometimes, life gets in the way of long blog posts, yet we still want to stay connected to our online friends. A short, FUN photo is so satisfactory!

    • Kathy says:

Debbie, this may be the perfect time of year to do this. It sometimes gets too busy to create a long blog. These Photo Shorts are perfect. Thank you!

  9. Dale says:

Thanks to Robin, here I am. Time for me to have some fun, too. πŸ™‚

In other words you’re going old school blogging. Your idea reminds me of my blogging roots.

    • Kathy says:

You are so right, Ally Bean. This is reminding me of my first year of blogging, too, although I did post a heckofalot more photos then. Back to basics for the time being. πŸ™‚

  12. Ok yes, you’ve inspired me to play.
